A planning sheet which outlines the blended learning tasks that will promote an interest in Welsh Spot, with a particular focus on rugby.  The learning programme identifies the opportunities to develop pupils’ cross-curricular skills in Physical Education.  Learners will record a commentary of an iconic moment in Welsh rugby history and write a blog to describe a player’s feelings before a World Cup final.  Learners are asked to calculate percentages from fractions in order to calculate the percentage of accurate passes..  They will also have the opportunity to discuss the importance of data for coaches and how this has led to a wide range of  job opportunities within sport.  By organising and analysing a survey, e.g. Who is the most popular player in Wales?’, pupils will practise their data handling skills.   Pupils will apply their knowledge, understanding and skills of physical education by creating a suitable warming up exercise.  The author advises teachers to provide plenty of opportunities for class discussions to promote learners’ interest and to keep the tasks simple but exciting for the learners.
